Most community platforms give you the product and take the history away. We would rather you kept it: there is no 90-day window, no archive paywall, and no charge that grows with your member count.
A boost is a small contribution from a member. Enough of them and the whole server levels up — everyone gets the perks, not just the person who paid.
Anyone in the server can buy a boost and apply it. A community of two hundred people reaching Gold costs each of them roughly nothing — and the owner is never handed a bill for running a popular server.
Boosts add up and stay applied. Cross a threshold and the level unlocks for everyone at once: bigger uploads, custom emojis, streaming, a vanity URL, and eventually API access.
Boosts add capability, they never restore something we removed. Everything in the free list above stays free at every level, including your full history.
Perks are cumulative — each level keeps everything below it.

Point CoreCommunity at a storage server you run, and your messages are routed there instead of to us. Everything is encrypted on your device before it leaves, so your server holds encrypted blobs and we hold nothing at all.
It needs a handful of REST endpoints and nothing more — the specification is short enough to implement in an afternoon.
